Bob is a consummate techie. He works as an engineer on a starship and always seems to have his head in some machine. If not, then he's reading "Engineer's Monthly" or going over the specs for something. Typically he dresses in coveralls and an "INS Devereaux" cap. The latter is a souvenir from his days in the Imperial Naval Service where he learned his trade.

He is calm and collected, except when he's deeply involved in engineering, when he becomes quite animated.
